Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Lectern does not collect any personal data. Your scripts, your voice and your recordings stay on your iPhone.
Who we are
Lectern is published by Epsylon Labs, France. For any question about this policy, write to corentin@epsylonlabs.com.
What we collect
Nothing. Lectern has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server that receives data from the app.
Microphone and speech recognition
In voice mode, Lectern uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition to follow your script. Recognition runs on your device only: the app requires on-device recognition, so your audio is not sent to us or to Apple's servers. Voice mode works in airplane mode.
You can turn off microphone or speech recognition access at any time in the iPhone Settings app. Auto and manual modes work without them.
Recordings
With Lectern Pro, voice mode can save an audio recording of your rehearsal. Recordings are stored on your device, inside the app. They leave your device only if you choose to export or share them.
Scripts and rehearsal reports
Your scripts, rehearsal times and settings are stored on your device. Like other app data, they may be included in your iPhone backups, according to your iCloud and backup settings. Deleting the app deletes them from the device.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
Children
Lectern does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your control. If you write to us by email, we use your message only to answer it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
